بِسْمِbismiٱللَّهِllāhiٱلرَّحْمَٰنِr-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِr-raḥīmIn the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.هَلْhalأَتَىٰكَ'atākaحَدِيثُḥadīṯuٱلْغَٰشِيَةِl-ḡāšiyah١(1)Has there come to you the news of the overwhelming?وُجُوهٞwujūhunيَوْمَئِذٍyawma'iḏinخَٰشِعَةٌḵāšiʕah٢(2)Faces on that Day will be shamed.عَامِلَةٞʕāmilatunنَّاصِبَةٞnāṣibah٣(3)Laboring and exhausted.تَصْلَىٰtaṣlāنَارًاnāranحَامِيَةٗḥāmiyah٤(4)Roasting in a scorching Fire.تُسْقَىٰtusqāمِنْminعَيْنٍʕayninءَانِيَةٖ'āniyah٥(5)Given to drink from a flaming spring.لَّيْسَlaysaلَهُمْlahumطَعَامٌṭaʕāmunإِلَّا'illāمِنminضَرِيعٖḍarīʕ٦(6)They will have no food except thorns.لَّاlāيُسْمِنُyusminuوَلَاwalāيُغْنِىyuḡnīمِنminجُوعٖjūʕ٧(7)That neither nourishes, nor satisfies hunger.وُجُوهٞwujūhunيَوْمَئِذٖyawma'iḏinنَّاعِمَةٞnāʕimah٨(8)Faces on that Day will be joyful.لِّسَعْيِهَاlisaʕyihāرَاضِيَةٞrāḍiyah٩(9)Satisfied with their endeavor.فِىfīجَنَّةٍjannatinعَالِيَةٖʕāliyah١٠(10)In a lofty Garden.لَّاlāتَسْمَعُtasmaʕuفِيهَاfīhāلَٰغِيَةٗlāḡiyah١١(11)In it you will hear no nonsense.فِيهَاfīhāعَيْنٞʕaynunجَارِيَةٞjāriyah١٢(12)In it is a flowing spring.فِيهَاfīhāسُرُرٞsururunمَّرْفُوعَةٞmarfūʕah١٣(13)In it are raised beds.وَأَكْوَابٞwa'akwābunمَّوْضُوعَةٞmawḍūʕah١٤(14)And cups set in place.وَنَمَارِقُwanamāriquمَصْفُوفَةٞmaṣfūfah١٥(15)And cushions set in rows.وَزَرَابِىُّwazarābiyyuمَبْثُوثَةٌmabṯūṯah١٦(16)And carpets spread around.أَفَلَا'afalāيَنظُرُونَyanẓurūnaإِلَى'ilāٱلْإِبِلِl-'ibiliكَيْفَkayfaخُلِقَتْḵuliqat١٧(17)Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?وَإِلَىwa'ilāٱلسَّمَآءِs-samā~'iكَيْفَkayfaرُفِعَتْrufiʕat١٨(18)And at the sky—how it is raised?وَإِلَىwa'ilāٱلْجِبَالِl-jibāliكَيْفَkayfaنُصِبَتْnuṣibat١٩(19)And at the mountains—how they are installed?وَإِلَىwa'ilāٱلْأَرْضِl-'arḍiكَيْفَkayfaسُطِحَتْsuṭiḥat٢٠(20)And at the earth—how it is spread out?فَذَكِّرْfaḏakkirإِنَّمَآ'innamā~أَنتَ'antaمُذَكِّرٞmuḏakkir٢١(21)So remind. You are only a reminder.لَّسْتَlastaعَلَيْهِمʕalayhimبِمُصَيْطِرٍbimuṣayṭir٢٢(22)You have no control over them.إِلَّا'illāمَنmanتَوَلَّىٰtawallāوَكَفَرَwakafar٢٣(23)But whoever turns away and disbelieves.فَيُعَذِّبُهُfayuʕaḏḏibuhuٱللَّهُllāhuٱلْعَذَابَl-ʕaḏābaٱلْأَكْبَرَl-'akbar٢٤(24)Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.إِنَّ'innaإِلَيْنَآ'ilaynā~إِيَابَهُمْ'iyābahum٢٥(25)To Us is their return.ثُمَّṯummaإِنَّ'innaعَلَيْنَاʕalaynāحِسَابَهُمḥisābahum٢٦(26)Then upon Us rests their reckoning.
