بِسْمِbismiٱللَّهِllāhiٱلرَّحْمَٰنِr-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِr-raḥīmIn the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.طسٓمٓṭā sī~n mī~m١(1)Ta, Seen, Meem.تِلْكَtilkaءَايَٰتُ'āyātuٱلْكِتَٰبِl-kitābiٱلْمُبِينِl-mubīn٢(2)These are the Verses of the Clarifying Book.لَعَلَّكَlaʕallakaبَٰخِعٞbāḵiʕunنَّفْسَكَnafsakaأَلَّا'allāيَكُونُوا۟yakūnūمُؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn٣(3)Perhaps you will destroy yourself with grief, because they do not become believers.إِن'inنَّشَأْnaša'نُنَزِّلْnunazzilعَلَيْهِمʕalayhimمِّنَminaٱلسَّمَآءِs-samā~'iءَايَةٗ'āyatanفَظَلَّتْfaẓallatأَعْنَٰقُهُمْ'aʕnāquhumلَهَاlahāخَٰضِعِينَḵāḍiʕīn٤(4)If We will, We can send down upon them a sign from heaven, at which their necks will stay bent in humility.وَمَاwamāيَأْتِيهِمya'tīhimمِّنminذِكْرٖḏikrinمِّنَminaٱلرَّحْمَٰنِr-raḥmāniمُحْدَثٍmuḥdaṯinإِلَّا'illāكَانُوا۟kānūعَنْهُʕanhuمُعْرِضِينَmuʕriḍīn٥(5)No fresh reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful, but they turn their backs at it.فَقَدْfaqadكَذَّبُوا۟kaḏḏabūفَسَيَأْتِيهِمْfasaya'tīhimأَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟'anbā~'uمَاmāكَانُوا۟kānūبِهِۦbihīيَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahzi'ūn٦(6)They have denied the truth, but soon will come to them the news of what they ridiculed.أَوَلَمْ'awalamيَرَوْا۟yarawإِلَى'ilāٱلْأَرْضِl-'arḍiكَمْkamأَنۢبَتْنَا'anbatnāفِيهَاfīhāمِنminكُلِّkulliزَوْجٖzawjinكَرِيمٍkarīm٧(7)Have they not seen the earth, and how many beautiful pairs We produced therein?إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn٨(8)Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm٩(9)Most surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.وَإِذْwa'iḏنَادَىٰnādāرَبُّكَrabbukaمُوسَىٰٓmūsā~أَنِ'aniٱئْتِ'tiٱلْقَوْمَl-qawmaٱلظَّٰلِمِينَẓ-ẓālimīn١٠(10)Your Lord called to Moses, “Go to the tyrannical people.قَوْمَqawmaفِرْعَوْنَۚfirʕawna,أَلَا'alāيَتَّقُونَyattaqūn١١(11)The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear?”قَالَqālaرَبِّrabbiإِنِّىٓ'innī~أَخَافُ'aḵāfuأَن'anيُكَذِّبُونِyukaḏḏibūn١٢(12)He said, “My Lord, I fear they will reject me.وَيَضِيقُwayaḍīquصَدْرِىṣadrīوَلَاwalāيَنطَلِقُyanṭaliquلِسَانِىlisānīفَأَرْسِلْfa'arsilإِلَىٰ'ilāهَٰرُونَhārūn١٣(13)And I become stressed, and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron too.وَلَهُمْwalahumعَلَىَّʕalayyaذَنۢبٞḏanbunفَأَخَافُfa'aḵāfuأَن'anيَقْتُلُونِyaqtulūn١٤(14)And they have a charge against me, so I fear they will kill me.”قَالَqālaكَلَّاۖkallāفَٱذْهَبَاfaḏhabāبِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۖbi'āyātinā~إِنَّا'innāمَعَكُمmaʕakumمُّسْتَمِعُونَmustamiʕūn١٥(15)He said, “No. Go, both of you, with Our proofs. We will be with you, listening.فَأْتِيَاfa'tiyāفِرْعَوْنَfirʕawnaفَقُولَآfaqūlā~إِنَّا'innāرَسُولُrasūluرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٦(16)Go to Pharaoh, and say, ‘We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds.أَنْ'anأَرْسِلْ'arsilمَعَنَاmaʕanāبَنِىٓbanī~إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ'isrā~'īl١٧(17)Let the Children of Israel go with us.'“قَالَqālaأَلَمْ'alamنُرَبِّكَnurabbikaفِينَاfīnāوَلِيدٗاwalīdanوَلَبِثْتَwalabiṯtaفِينَاfīnāمِنْminعُمُرِكَʕumurikaسِنِينَsinīn١٨(18)He said, “Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed among us for many of your years?وَفَعَلْتَwafaʕaltaفَعْلَتَكَfaʕlatakaٱلَّتِىllatīفَعَلْتَfaʕaltaوَأَنتَwa'antaمِنَminaٱلْكَٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīn١٩(19)And you committed that deed you committed, and you were ungrateful.”قَالَqālaفَعَلْتُهَآfaʕaltuhā~إِذٗا'iḏanوَأَنَا۠wa'anaمِنَminaٱلضَّآلِّينَḍ-ḍā~llīn٢٠(20)He said, “I did it then, when I was of those astray.فَفَرَرْتُfafarartuمِنكُمْminkumلَمَّاlammāخِفْتُكُمْḵiftukumفَوَهَبَfawahabaلِىlīرَبِّىrabbīحُكْمٗاḥukmanوَجَعَلَنِىwajaʕalanīمِنَminaٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn٢١(21)And I fled from you when I feared you; but my Lord gave me wisdom, and made me one of the messengers.وَتِلْكَwatilkaنِعْمَةٞniʕmatunتَمُنُّهَاtamunnuhāعَلَىَّʕalayyaأَنْ'anعَبَّدتَّʕabbadttaبَنِىٓbanī~إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ'isrā~'īl٢٢(22)Is that the favor you taunt me with, although you have enslaved the Children of Israel?”قَالَqālaفِرْعَوْنُfirʕawnuوَمَاwamāرَبُّrabbuٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn٢٣(23)Pharaoh said, “And what is the Lord of the Worlds?”قَالَqālaرَبُّrabbuٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِs-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-'arḍiوَمَاwamāبَيْنَهُمَآۖbaynahumā~إِن'inكُنتُمkuntumمُّوقِنِينَmūqinīn٢٤(24)He said, “The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, if you are aware.”قَالَqālaلِمَنْlimanحَوْلَهُۥٓḥawlahū~أَلَا'alāتَسْتَمِعُونَtastamiʕūn٢٥(25)He said to those around him, “Do you not hear?”قَالَqālaرَبُّكُمْrabbukumوَرَبُّwarabbuءَابَآئِكُمُ'ābā~'ikumuٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-'awwalīn٢٦(26)He said, “Your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of old.”قَالَqālaإِنَّ'innaرَسُولَكُمُrasūlakumuٱلَّذِىٓllaḏī~أُرْسِلَ'ursilaإِلَيْكُمْ'ilaykumلَمَجْنُونٞlamajnūn٢٧(27)He said, “This messenger of yours, who is sent to you, is crazy.”قَالَqālaرَبُّrabbuٱلْمَشْرِقِl-mašriqiوَٱلْمَغْرِبِwal-maḡribiوَمَاwamāبَيْنَهُمَآۖbaynahumā~إِن'inكُنتُمْkuntumتَعْقِلُونَtaʕqilūn٢٨(28)He said, “Lord of the East and the West, and everything between them, if you understand.”قَالَqālaلَئِنِla'iniٱتَّخَذْتَttaḵaḏtaإِلَٰهًا'ilāhanغَيْرِىḡayrīلَأَجْعَلَنَّكَla'ajʕalannakaمِنَminaٱلْمَسْجُونِينَl-masjūnīn٢٩(29)He said, “If you accept any god other than me, I will make you a prisoner.”قَالَqālaأَوَلَوْ'awalawجِئْتُكَji'tukaبِشَىْءٖbišay'inمُّبِينٖmubīn٣٠(30)He said, “What if I bring you something convincing?”قَالَqālaفَأْتِfa'tiبِهِۦٓbihī~إِن'inكُنتَkuntaمِنَminaٱلصَّٰدِقِينَṣ-ṣādiqīn٣١(31)He said, “Bring it, if you are being truthful.”فَأَلْقَىٰfa'alqāعَصَاهُʕaṣāhuفَإِذَاfa'iḏāهِىَhiyaثُعْبَانٞṯuʕbānunمُّبِينٞmubīn٣٢(32)So he cast his staff; and it was a serpent, plain to see.وَنَزَعَwanazaʕaيَدَهُۥyadahūفَإِذَاfa'iḏāهِىَhiyaبَيْضَآءُbayḍā~'uلِلنَّٰظِرِينَlilnnāẓirīn٣٣(33)And he pulled his hand; and it was white, for all to see.قَالَqālaلِلْمَلَإِlilmala'iحَوْلَهُۥٓḥawlahū~إِنَّ'innaهَٰذَاhāḏāلَسَٰحِرٌlasāḥirunعَلِيمٞʕalīm٣٤(34)He said to the dignitaries around him, “This is a skilled magician.يُرِيدُyurīduأَن'anيُخْرِجَكُمyuḵrijakumمِّنْminأَرْضِكُم'arḍikumبِسِحْرِهِۦbisiḥrihīفَمَاذَاfamāḏāتَأْمُرُونَta'murūn٣٥(35)He intends to drive you out of your land with his magic, so what do you recommend?”قَالُوٓا۟qālū~أَرْجِهْ'arjihوَأَخَاهُwa'aḵāhuوَٱبْعَثْwabʕaṯفِىfīٱلْمَدَآئِنِl-madā~'iniحَٰشِرِينَḥāširīn٣٦(36)They said, “Delay him and his brother, and send recruiters to the cities.يَأْتُوكَya'tūkaبِكُلِّbikulliسَحَّارٍsaḥḥārinعَلِيمٖʕalīm٣٧(37)To bring you every experienced magician.”فَجُمِعَfajumiʕaٱلسَّحَرَةُs-saḥaratuلِمِيقَٰتِlimīqātiيَوْمٖyawminمَّعْلُومٖmaʕlūm٣٨(38)So the magicians were gathered for the appointment on a specified day.وَقِيلَwaqīlaلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsiهَلْhalأَنتُم'antumمُّجْتَمِعُونَmujtamiʕūn٣٩(39)And it was said to the people, “Are you all gathered?لَعَلَّنَاlaʕallanāنَتَّبِعُnattabiʕuٱلسَّحَرَةَs-saḥarataإِن'inكَانُوا۟kānūهُمُhumuٱلْغَٰلِبِينَl-ḡālibīn٤٠(40)That we may follow the magicians, if they are the winners.”فَلَمَّاfalammāجَآءَjā~'aٱلسَّحَرَةُs-saḥaratuقَالُوا۟qālūلِفِرْعَوْنَlifirʕawnaأَئِنَّ'a'innaلَنَاlanāلَأَجْرًاla'ajranإِن'inكُنَّاkunnāنَحْنُnaḥnuٱلْغَٰلِبِينَl-ḡālibīn٤١(41)When the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, “Is there a reward for us, if we are the winners?”قَالَqālaنَعَمْnaʕamوَإِنَّكُمْwa'innakumإِذٗا'iḏanلَّمِنَlaminaٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَl-muqarrabīn٤٢(42)He said, “Yes, and you will be among those favored.”قَالَqālaلَهُمlahumمُّوسَىٰٓmūsā~أَلْقُوا۟'alqūمَآmā~أَنتُم'antumمُّلْقُونَmulqūn٤٣(43)Moses said to them, “Present what you intend to present.”فَأَلْقَوْا۟fa'alqawحِبَالَهُمْḥibālahumوَعِصِيَّهُمْwaʕiṣiyyahumوَقَالُوا۟waqālūبِعِزَّةِbiʕizzatiفِرْعَوْنَfirʕawnaإِنَّا'innāلَنَحْنُlanaḥnuٱلْغَٰلِبُونَl-ḡālibūn٤٤(44)So they threw their ropes and their sticks, and said, “By the majesty of Pharaoh, we will be the winners.”فَأَلْقَىٰfa'alqāمُوسَىٰmūsāعَصَاهُʕaṣāhuفَإِذَاfa'iḏāهِىَhiyaتَلْقَفُtalqafuمَاmāيَأْفِكُونَya'fikūn٤٥(45)Then Moses threw his staff, and behold, it began swallowing their trickery.فَأُلْقِىَfa'ulqiyaٱلسَّحَرَةُs-saḥaratuسَٰجِدِينَsājidīn٤٦(46)And the magicians fell down prostrating.قَالُوٓا۟qālū~ءَامَنَّا'āmannāبِرَبِّbirabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn٤٧(47)They said, “We have believed in the Lord of the Worlds.رَبِّrabbiمُوسَىٰmūsāوَهَٰرُونَwahārūn٤٨(48)The Lord of Moses and Aaron.”قَالَqālaءَامَنتُمْ'āmantumلَهُۥlahūقَبْلَqablaأَنْ'anءَاذَنَ'āḏanaلَكُمْۖlakumإِنَّهُۥ'innahūلَكَبِيرُكُمُlakabīrukumuٱلَّذِىllaḏīعَلَّمَكُمُʕallamakumuٱلسِّحْرَs-siḥraفَلَسَوْفَfalasawfaتَعْلَمُونَۚtaʕlamūna,لَأُقَطِّعَنَّla'uqaṭṭiʕannaأَيْدِيَكُمْ'aydiyakumوَأَرْجُلَكُمwa'arjulakumمِّنْminخِلَٰفٖḵilāfinوَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْwala'uṣallibannakumأَجْمَعِينَ'ajmaʕīn٤٩(49)He said, “Did you believe in Him before I have given you permission? He must be your chief, who taught you magic. You will soon know. I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all.”قَالُوا۟qālūلَاlāضَيْرَۖḍayraإِنَّآ'innā~إِلَىٰ'ilāرَبِّنَاrabbināمُنقَلِبُونَmunqalibūn٥٠(50)They said, “No problem. To our Lord we will return.إِنَّا'innāنَطْمَعُnaṭmaʕuأَن'anيَغْفِرَyaḡfiraلَنَاlanāرَبُّنَاrabbunāخَطَٰيَٰنَآḵaṭāyānā~أَن'anكُنَّآkunnā~أَوَّلَ'awwalaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīn٥١(51)We are eager for our Lord to forgive us our sins, since we are the first of the believers.”۞وَأَوْحَيْنَآwa'awḥaynā~إِلَىٰ'ilāمُوسَىٰٓmūsā~أَنْ'anأَسْرِ'asriبِعِبَادِىٓbiʕibādī~إِنَّكُم'innakumمُّتَّبَعُونَmuttabaʕūn٥٢(52)And We inspired Moses: “Travel with My servants by night. You will be followed.”فَأَرْسَلَfa'arsalaفِرْعَوْنُfirʕawnuفِىfīٱلْمَدَآئِنِl-madā~'iniحَٰشِرِينَḥāširīn٥٣(53)Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities.إِنَّ'innaهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhā~'ulā~'iلَشِرْذِمَةٞlaširḏimatunقَلِيلُونَqalīlūn٥٤(54)“These are a small gang.وَإِنَّهُمْwa'innahumلَنَاlanāلَغَآئِظُونَlaḡā~'iẓūn٥٥(55)And they are enraging us.وَإِنَّاwa'innāلَجَمِيعٌlajamīʕunحَٰذِرُونَḥāḏirūn٥٦(56)But we are a vigilant multitude.”فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُمfa'aḵrajnāhumمِّنminجَنَّٰتٖjannātinوَعُيُونٖwaʕuyūn٥٧(57)So We drove them out of gardens and springs.وَكُنُوزٖwakunūzinوَمَقَامٖwamaqāminكَرِيمٖkarīm٥٨(58)And treasures and noble dwellings.كَذَٰلِكَkaḏālikaوَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَاwa'awraṯnāhāبَنِىٓbanī~إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ'isrā~'īl٥٩(59)So it was. And We made the Children of Israel inherit them.فَأَتْبَعُوهُمfa'atbaʕūhumمُّشْرِقِينَmušriqīn٦٠(60)And they pursued them at sunrise.فَلَمَّاfalammāتَرَٰٓءَاtarā~'āٱلْجَمْعَانِl-jamʕāniقَالَqālaأَصْحَٰبُ'aṣḥābuمُوسَىٰٓmūsā~إِنَّا'innāلَمُدْرَكُونَlamudrakūn٦١(61)When the two groups sighted each other, the followers of Moses said, “We are being overtaken.”قَالَqālaكَلَّآۖkallā~إِنَّ'innaمَعِىَmaʕiyaرَبِّىrabbīسَيَهْدِينِsayahdīn٦٢(62)He said, “No; my Lord is with me, He will guide me.”فَأَوْحَيْنَآfa'awḥaynā~إِلَىٰ'ilāمُوسَىٰٓmūsā~أَنِ'aniٱضْرِبḍribبِّعَصَاكَbiʕaṣākaٱلْبَحْرَۖl-baḥraفَٱنفَلَقَfanfalaqaفَكَانَfakānaكُلُّkulluفِرْقٖfirqinكَٱلطَّوْدِkaṭ-ṭawdiٱلْعَظِيمِl-ʕaẓīm٦٣(63)We inspired Moses: “Strike the sea with your staff.” Whereupon it parted, and each part was like a huge hill.وَأَزْلَفْنَاwa'azlafnāثَمَّṯammaٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَl-'āḵarīn٦٤(64)And there We brought the others near.وَأَنجَيْنَاwa'anjaynāمُوسَىٰmūsāوَمَنwamanمَّعَهُۥٓmaʕahū~أَجْمَعِينَ'ajmaʕīn٦٥(65)And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.ثُمَّṯummaأَغْرَقْنَا'aḡraqnāٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَl-'āḵarīn٦٦(66)Then We drowned the others.إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn٦٧(67)In that there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm٦٨(68)Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.وَٱتْلُwatluعَلَيْهِمْʕalayhimنَبَأَnaba'aإِبْرَٰهِيمَ'ibrāhīm٦٩(69)And relate to them the story of Abraham.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلِأَبِيهِli'abīhiوَقَوْمِهِۦwaqawmihīمَاmāتَعْبُدُونَtaʕbudūn٧٠(70)When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?”قَالُوا۟qālūنَعْبُدُnaʕbuduأَصْنَامٗا'aṣnāmanفَنَظَلُّfanaẓalluلَهَاlahāعَٰكِفِينَʕākifīn٧١(71)They said, “We worship idols, and we remain devoted to them.”قَالَqālaهَلْhalيَسْمَعُونَكُمْyasmaʕūnakumإِذْ'iḏتَدْعُونَtadʕūn٧٢(72)He said, “Do they hear you when you pray?أَوْ'awيَنفَعُونَكُمْyanfaʕūnakumأَوْ'awيَضُرُّونَyaḍurrūn٧٣(73)Or do they benefit you, or harm you?”قَالُوا۟qālūبَلْbalوَجَدْنَآwajadnā~ءَابَآءَنَا'ābā~'anāكَذَٰلِكَkaḏālikaيَفْعَلُونَyafʕalūn٧٤(74)They said, “But we found our ancestors doing so.” قَالَqālaأَفَرَءَيْتُم'afara'aytumمَّاmāكُنتُمْkuntumتَعْبُدُونَtaʕbudūn٧٥(75)He said, “Have you considered what you worship.أَنتُمْ'antumوَءَابَآؤُكُمُwa'ābā~'ukumuٱلْأَقْدَمُونَl-'aqdamūn٧٦(76)You and your ancient ancestors?فَإِنَّهُمْfa'innahumعَدُوّٞʕaduwwunلِّىٓlī~إِلَّا'illāرَبَّrabbaٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn٧٧(77)They are enemies to me, but not so the Lord of the Worlds.ٱلَّذِىallaḏīخَلَقَنِىḵalaqanīفَهُوَfahuwaيَهْدِينِyahdīn٧٨(78)He who created me, and guides me.وَٱلَّذِىwallaḏīهُوَhuwaيُطْعِمُنِىyuṭʕimunīوَيَسْقِينِwayasqīn٧٩(79)He who feeds me, and waters me.وَإِذَاwa'iḏāمَرِضْتُmariḍtuفَهُوَfahuwaيَشْفِينِyašfīn٨٠(80)And when I get sick, He heals me.وَٱلَّذِىwallaḏīيُمِيتُنِىyumītunīثُمَّṯummaيُحْيِينِyuḥyīn٨١(81)He who makes me die, and then revives me.وَٱلَّذِىٓwallaḏī~أَطْمَعُ'aṭmaʕuأَن'anيَغْفِرَyaḡfiraلِىlīخَطِيٓـَٔتِىḵaṭī~'atīيَوْمَyawmaٱلدِّينِd-dīn٨٢(82)He who, I hope, will forgive my sins on the Day of the Reckoning.”رَبِّrabbiهَبْhabلِىlīحُكْمٗاḥukmanوَأَلْحِقْنِىwa'alḥiqnīبِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَbiṣ-ṣāliḥīn٨٣(83)“My Lord! Grant me wisdom, and include me with the righteous.وَٱجْعَلwajʕalلِّىlīلِسَانَlisānaصِدْقٖṣidqinفِىfīٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَl-'āḵirīn٨٤(84)And give me a reputation of truth among the others.وَٱجْعَلْنِىwajʕalnīمِنminوَرَثَةِwaraṯatiجَنَّةِjannatiٱلنَّعِيمِn-naʕīm٨٥(85)And make me of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.وَٱغْفِرْwaḡfirلِأَبِىٓli'abī~إِنَّهُۥ'innahūكَانَkānaمِنَminaٱلضَّآلِّينَḍ-ḍā~llīn٨٦(86)And forgive my father—he was one of the misguided.وَلَاwalāتُخْزِنِىtuḵzinīيَوْمَyawmaيُبْعَثُونَyubʕaṯūn٨٧(87)And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.يَوْمَyawmaلَاlāيَنفَعُyanfaʕuمَالٞmālunوَلَاwalāبَنُونَbanūn٨٨(88)The Day when neither wealth nor children will help.إِلَّا'illāمَنْmanأَتَى'atāٱللَّهَllāhaبِقَلْبٖbiqalbinسَلِيمٖsalīm٨٩(89)Except for him who comes to Allah with a sound heart.”وَأُزْلِفَتِwa'uzlifatiٱلْجَنَّةُl-jannatuلِلْمُتَّقِينَlilmuttaqīn٩٠(90)And Paradise will be brought near for the righteous.وَبُرِّزَتِwaburrizatiٱلْجَحِيمُl-jaḥīmuلِلْغَاوِينَlilḡāwīn٩١(91)And the Blaze will be displayed to the deviators.وَقِيلَwaqīlaلَهُمْlahumأَيْنَ'aynaمَاmāكُنتُمْkuntumتَعْبُدُونَtaʕbudūn٩٢(92)And it will be said to them, “Where are those you used to worship?”مِنminدُونِdūniٱللَّهِllāhiهَلْhalيَنصُرُونَكُمْyanṣurūnakumأَوْ'awيَنتَصِرُونَyantaṣirūn٩٣(93)Besides Allah? Can they help you, or help themselves?”فَكُبْكِبُوا۟fakubkibūفِيهَاfīhāهُمْhumوَٱلْغَاوُۥنَwal-ḡāwūn٩٤(94)Then they will be toppled into it, together with the seducers.وَجُنُودُwajunūduإِبْلِيسَ'iblīsaأَجْمَعُونَ'ajmaʕūn٩٥(95)And the soldiers of Satan, all of them. قَالُوا۟qālūوَهُمْwahumفِيهَاfīhāيَخْتَصِمُونَyaḵtaṣimūn٩٦(96)They will say, as they feud in it.تَٱللَّهِtallāhiإِن'inكُنَّاkunnāلَفِىlafīضَلَٰلٖḍalālinمُّبِينٍmubīn٩٧(97)“By Allah, We were in evident error.إِذْ'iḏنُسَوِّيكُمnusawwīkumبِرَبِّbirabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn٩٨(98)For equating you with the Lord of the Worlds.وَمَآwamā~أَضَلَّنَآ'aḍallanā~إِلَّا'illāٱلْمُجْرِمُونَl-mujrimūn٩٩(99)No one misled us except the sinners.فَمَاfamāلَنَاlanāمِنminشَٰفِعِينَšāfiʕīn١٠٠(100)Now we have no intercessors.وَلَاwalāصَدِيقٍṣadīqinحَمِيمٖḥamīm١٠١(101)And no sincere friend.فَلَوْfalawأَنَّ'annaلَنَاlanāكَرَّةٗkarratanفَنَكُونَfanakūnaمِنَminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīn١٠٢(102)If only we could have another chance, we would be among the faithful.”إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٠٣(103)Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٠٤(104)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.كَذَّبَتْkaḏḏabatقَوْمُqawmuنُوحٍnūḥinٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn١٠٥(105)The people of Noah disbelieved the messengers.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلَهُمْlahumأَخُوهُمْ'aḵūhumنُوحٌnūḥunأَلَا'alāتَتَّقُونَtattaqūn١٠٦(106)Their brother Noah said to them, “Do you not fear?إِنِّى'innīلَكُمْlakumرَسُولٌrasūlunأَمِينٞ'amīn١٠٧(107)I am to you a faithful messenger.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٠٨(108)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَمَآwamā~أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ'as'alukumعَلَيْهِʕalayhiمِنْminأَجْرٍۖ'ajrinإِنْ'inأَجْرِىَ'ajriyaإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٠٩(109)I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١١٠(110)So fear Allah, and obey me.”۞قَالُوٓا۟qālū~أَنُؤْمِنُ'anu'minuلَكَlakaوَٱتَّبَعَكَwattabaʕakaٱلْأَرْذَلُونَl-'arḏalūn١١١(111)They said, “Shall we believe in you, when it is the lowliest who follow you?”قَالَqālaوَمَاwamāعِلْمِىʕilmīبِمَاbimāكَانُوا۟kānūيَعْمَلُونَyaʕmalūn١١٢(112)He said, “What do I know about what they do?إِنْ'inحِسَابُهُمْḥisābuhumإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّىۖrabbīلَوْlawتَشْعُرُونَtašʕurūn١١٣(113)Their account rests only with my Lord, if you have sense.وَمَآwamā~أَنَا۠'anaبِطَارِدِbiṭāridiٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīn١١٤(114)And I am not about to drive away the believers.إِنْ'inأَنَا۠'anaإِلَّا'illāنَذِيرٞnaḏīrunمُّبِينٞmubīn١١٥(115)I am only a clear warner.”قَالُوا۟qālūلَئِنla'inلَّمْlamتَنتَهِtantahiيَٰنُوحُyānūḥuلَتَكُونَنَّlatakūnannaمِنَminaٱلْمَرْجُومِينَl-marjūmīn١١٦(116)They said, “If you do not refrain, O Noah, you will be stoned.”قَالَqālaرَبِّrabbiإِنَّ'innaقَوْمِىqawmīكَذَّبُونِkaḏḏabūn١١٧(117)He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.فَٱفْتَحْfaftaḥبَيْنِىbaynīوَبَيْنَهُمْwabaynahumفَتْحٗاfatḥanوَنَجِّنِىwanajjinīوَمَنwamanمَّعِىَmaʕiyaمِنَminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīn١١٨(118)So judge between me and them decisively, and deliver me and the believers who are with me.فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُfa'anjaynāhuوَمَنwamanمَّعَهُۥmaʕahūفِىfīٱلْفُلْكِl-fulkiٱلْمَشْحُونِl-mašḥūn١١٩(119)So We delivered him and those with him in the laden Ark.ثُمَّṯummaأَغْرَقْنَا'aḡraqnāبَعْدُbaʕduٱلْبَاقِينَl-bāqīn١٢٠(120)Then We drowned the rest.إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٢١(121)In that is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٢٢(122)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.كَذَّبَتْkaḏḏabatعَادٌʕādunٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn١٢٣(123)Aad disbelieved the messengers.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلَهُمْlahumأَخُوهُمْ'aḵūhumهُودٌhūdunأَلَا'alāتَتَّقُونَtattaqūn١٢٤(124)When their brother Hud said to them, “Do you not fear?إِنِّى'innīلَكُمْlakumرَسُولٌrasūlunأَمِينٞ'amīn١٢٥(125)I am to you a faithful messenger.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٢٦(126)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَمَآwamā~أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ'as'alukumعَلَيْهِʕalayhiمِنْminأَجْرٍۖ'ajrinإِنْ'inأَجْرِىَ'ajriyaإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٢٧(127)I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.أَتَبْنُونَ'atabnūnaبِكُلِّbikulliرِيعٍrīʕinءَايَةٗ'āyatanتَعْبَثُونَtaʕbaṯūn١٢٨(128)Do you build a monument on every height for vanity's sake?وَتَتَّخِذُونَwatattaḵiḏūnaمَصَانِعَmaṣāniʕaلَعَلَّكُمْlaʕallakumتَخْلُدُونَtaḵludūn١٢٩(129)And you set up fortresses, hoping to live forever?وَإِذَاwa'iḏāبَطَشْتُمbaṭaštumبَطَشْتُمْbaṭaštumجَبَّارِينَjabbārīn١٣٠(130)And when you strike, you strike mercilessly?فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٣١(131)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَٱتَّقُوا۟wattaqūٱلَّذِىٓllaḏī~أَمَدَّكُم'amaddakumبِمَاbimāتَعْلَمُونَtaʕlamūn١٣٢(132)And reverence Him, who supplied you with everything you know. أَمَدَّكُم'amaddakumبِأَنْعَٰمٖbi'anʕāminوَبَنِينَwabanīn١٣٣(133)He supplied you with livestock and children.وَجَنَّٰتٖwajannātinوَعُيُونٍwaʕuyūn١٣٤(134)And gardens and springs.إِنِّىٓ'innī~أَخَافُ'aḵāfuعَلَيْكُمْʕalaykumعَذَابَʕaḏābaيَوْمٍyawminعَظِيمٖʕaẓīm١٣٥(135)I fear for you the punishment of an awesome Day.”قَالُوا۟qālūسَوَآءٌsawā~'unعَلَيْنَآʕalaynā~أَوَعَظْتَ'awaʕaẓtaأَمْ'amلَمْlamتَكُنtakunمِّنَminaٱلْوَٰعِظِينَl-wāʕiẓīn١٣٦(136)They said, “It is the same for us, whether you lecture us, or do not lecture.إِنْ'inهَٰذَآhāḏā~إِلَّا'illāخُلُقُḵuluquٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-'awwalīn١٣٧(137)This is nothing but morals of the ancients.وَمَاwamāنَحْنُnaḥnuبِمُعَذَّبِينَbimuʕaḏḏabīn١٣٨(138)And we will not be punished.”فَكَذَّبُوهُfakaḏḏabūhuفَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْۗfa'ahlaknāhum;إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٣٩(139)So they denied him, and We destroyed them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٤٠(140)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.كَذَّبَتْkaḏḏabatثَمُودُṯamūduٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn١٤١(141)Thamood disbelieved the messengers.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلَهُمْlahumأَخُوهُمْ'aḵūhumصَٰلِحٌṣāliḥunأَلَا'alāتَتَّقُونَtattaqūn١٤٢(142)When their brother Saleh said to them, “Do you not fear?إِنِّى'innīلَكُمْlakumرَسُولٌrasūlunأَمِينٞ'amīn١٤٣(143)I am to you a faithful messenger.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٤٤(144)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَمَآwamā~أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ'as'alukumعَلَيْهِʕalayhiمِنْminأَجْرٍۖ'ajrinإِنْ'inأَجْرِىَ'ajriyaإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٤٥(145)I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.أَتُتْرَكُونَ'atutrakūnaفِىfīمَاmāهَٰهُنَآhāhunā~ءَامِنِينَ'āminīn١٤٦(146)Will you be left secure in what is here?فِىfīجَنَّٰتٖjannātinوَعُيُونٖwaʕuyūn١٤٧(147)In gardens and springs?وَزُرُوعٖwazurūʕinوَنَخْلٖwanaḵlinطَلْعُهَاṭalʕuhāهَضِيمٞhaḍīm١٤٨(148)And fields, and palm-trees whose fruits are delicious?وَتَنْحِتُونَwatanḥitūnaمِنَminaٱلْجِبَالِl-jibāliبُيُوتٗاbuyūtanفَٰرِهِينَfārihīn١٤٩(149)And you skillfully carve houses in the mountains?فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٥٠(150)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَلَاwalāتُطِيعُوٓا۟tuṭīʕū~أَمْرَ'amraٱلْمُسْرِفِينَl-musrifīn١٥١(151)And do not obey the command of the extravagant.ٱلَّذِينَallaḏīnaيُفْسِدُونَyufsidūnaفِىfīٱلْأَرْضِl-'arḍiوَلَاwalāيُصْلِحُونَyuṣliḥūn١٥٢(152)Who spread turmoil on earth, and do not reform.”قَالُوٓا۟qālū~إِنَّمَآ'innamā~أَنتَ'antaمِنَminaٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَl-musaḥḥarīn١٥٣(153)They said, “You are surely one of the bewitched.مَآmā~أَنتَ'antaإِلَّا'illāبَشَرٞbašarunمِّثْلُنَاmiṯlunāفَأْتِfa'tiبِـَٔايَةٍbi'āyatinإِن'inكُنتَkuntaمِنَminaٱلصَّٰدِقِينَṣ-ṣādiqīn١٥٤(154)You are nothing but a man like us. So bring us a sign, if you are truthful.قَالَqālaهَٰذِهِۦhāḏihīنَاقَةٞnāqatunلَّهَاlahāشِرْبٞširbunوَلَكُمْwalakumشِرْبُširbuيَوْمٖyawminمَّعْلُومٖmaʕlūm١٥٥(155)He said, “This is a she-camel; she has her turn of drinking, and you have your turn of drinking—on a specified day.وَلَاwalāتَمَسُّوهَاtamassūhāبِسُوٓءٖbisū~'inفَيَأْخُذَكُمْfaya'ḵuḏakumعَذَابُʕaḏābuيَوْمٍyawminعَظِيمٖʕaẓīm١٥٦(156)And do not touch her with harm, lest the punishment of a great day seizes you.”فَعَقَرُوهَاfaʕaqarūhāفَأَصْبَحُوا۟fa'aṣbaḥūنَٰدِمِينَnādimīn١٥٧(157)But they slaughtered her, and became full of remorse.فَأَخَذَهُمُfa'aḵaḏahumuٱلْعَذَابُۗl-ʕaḏābu;إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٥٨(158)So the punishment overtook them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٥٩(159)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.كَذَّبَتْkaḏḏabatقَوْمُqawmuلُوطٍlūṭinٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn١٦٠(160)The people of Lot disbelieved the messengers.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلَهُمْlahumأَخُوهُمْ'aḵūhumلُوطٌlūṭunأَلَا'alāتَتَّقُونَtattaqūn١٦١(161)When their brother Lot said to them, “Do you not fear?إِنِّى'innīلَكُمْlakumرَسُولٌrasūlunأَمِينٞ'amīn١٦٢(162)I am to you a faithful messenger.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٦٣(163)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَمَآwamā~أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ'as'alukumعَلَيْهِʕalayhiمِنْminأَجْرٍۖ'ajrinإِنْ'inأَجْرِىَ'ajriyaإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٦٤(164)I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.أَتَأْتُونَ'ata'tūnaٱلذُّكْرَانَḏ-ḏukrānaمِنَminaٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٦٥(165)Do you approach the males of the world?وَتَذَرُونَwataḏarūnaمَاmāخَلَقَḵalaqaلَكُمْlakumرَبُّكُمrabbukumمِّنْminأَزْوَٰجِكُمۚ'azwājikum,بَلْbalأَنتُمْ'antumقَوْمٌqawmunعَادُونَʕādūn١٦٦(166)And forsake the wives your Lord created for you? Indeed, you are intrusive people.”قَالُوا۟qālūلَئِنla'inلَّمْlamتَنتَهِtantahiيَٰلُوطُyālūṭuلَتَكُونَنَّlatakūnannaمِنَminaٱلْمُخْرَجِينَl-muḵrajīn١٦٧(167)They said, “Unless you refrain, O Lot, you will be expelled.”قَالَqālaإِنِّى'innīلِعَمَلِكُمliʕamalikumمِّنَminaٱلْقَالِينَl-qālīn١٦٨(168)He said, “I certainly deplore your conduct.”رَبِّrabbiنَجِّنِىnajjinīوَأَهْلِىwa'ahlīمِمَّاmimmāيَعْمَلُونَyaʕmalūn١٦٩(169)“My Lord, save me and my family from what they do.”فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُfanajjaynāhuوَأَهْلَهُۥٓwa'ahlahū~أَجْمَعِينَ'ajmaʕīn١٧٠(170)So We saved him and his family, altogether.إِلَّا'illāعَجُوزٗاʕajūzanفِىfīٱلْغَٰبِرِينَl-ḡābirīn١٧١(171)Except for an old woman among those who tarried.ثُمَّṯummaدَمَّرْنَاdammarnāٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَl-'āḵarīn١٧٢(172)Then We destroyed the others.وَأَمْطَرْنَاwa'amṭarnāعَلَيْهِمʕalayhimمَّطَرٗاۖmaṭaranفَسَآءَfasā~'aمَطَرُmaṭaruٱلْمُنذَرِينَl-munḏarīn١٧٣(173)And We rained down on them a rain. Dreadful is the rain of those forewarned.إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٧٤(174)Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٧٥(175)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.كَذَّبَkaḏḏabaأَصْحَٰبُ'aṣḥābuلْـَٔيْكَةِl'aykatiٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mursalīn١٧٦(176)The People of the Woods disbelieved the messengers.إِذْ'iḏقَالَqālaلَهُمْlahumشُعَيْبٌšuʕaybunأَلَا'alāتَتَّقُونَtattaqūn١٧٧(177)When Shuaib said to them, “Do you not fear?إِنِّى'innīلَكُمْlakumرَسُولٌrasūlunأَمِينٞ'amīn١٧٨(178)I am to you a trustworthy messenger.فَٱتَّقُوا۟fattaqūٱللَّهَllāhaوَأَطِيعُونِwa'aṭīʕūn١٧٩(179)So fear Allah, and obey me.وَمَآwamā~أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ'as'alukumعَلَيْهِʕalayhiمِنْminأَجْرٍۖ'ajrinإِنْ'inأَجْرِىَ'ajriyaإِلَّا'illāعَلَىٰʕalāرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٨٠(180)I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.۞أَوْفُوا۟'awfūٱلْكَيْلَl-kaylaوَلَاwalāتَكُونُوا۟takūnūمِنَminaٱلْمُخْسِرِينَl-muḵsirīn١٨١(181)Give full measure, and do not cheat.وَزِنُوا۟wazinūبِٱلْقِسْطَاسِbil-qisṭāsiٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِl-mustaqīm١٨٢(182)And weigh with accurate scales.وَلَاwalāتَبْخَسُوا۟tabḵasūٱلنَّاسَn-nāsaأَشْيَآءَهُمْ'ašyā~'ahumوَلَاwalāتَعْثَوْا۟taʕṯawفِىfīٱلْأَرْضِl-'arḍiمُفْسِدِينَmufsidīn١٨٣(183)And do not defraud people of their belongings, and do not work corruption in the land.وَٱتَّقُوا۟wattaqūٱلَّذِىllaḏīخَلَقَكُمْḵalaqakumوَٱلْجِبِلَّةَwal-jibillataٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-'awwalīn١٨٤(184)And fear Him who created you and the masses of old.”قَالُوٓا۟qālū~إِنَّمَآ'innamā~أَنتَ'antaمِنَminaٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَl-musaḥḥarīn١٨٥(185)They said, “You are one of those bewitched.وَمَآwamā~أَنتَ'antaإِلَّا'illāبَشَرٞbašarunمِّثْلُنَاmiṯlunāوَإِنwa'inنَّظُنُّكَnaẓunnukaلَمِنَlaminaٱلْكَٰذِبِينَl-kāḏibīn١٨٦(186)And you are nothing but a man like us; and we think that you are a liar.فَأَسْقِطْfa'asqiṭعَلَيْنَاʕalaynāكِسَفٗاkisafanمِّنَminaٱلسَّمَآءِs-samā~'iإِن'inكُنتَkuntaمِنَminaٱلصَّٰدِقِينَṣ-ṣādiqīn١٨٧(187)So bring down on us pieces from the sky, if you are truthful.”قَالَqālaرَبِّىٓrabbī~أَعْلَمُ'aʕlamuبِمَاbimāتَعْمَلُونَtaʕmalūn١٨٨(188)He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.”فَكَذَّبُوهُfakaḏḏabūhuفَأَخَذَهُمْfa'aḵaḏahumعَذَابُʕaḏābuيَوْمِyawmiٱلظُّلَّةِۚẓ-ẓullati,إِنَّهُۥ'innahūكَانَkānaعَذَابَʕaḏābaيَوْمٍyawminعَظِيمٍʕaẓīm١٨٩(189)But they denied him. So the punishment of the day of gloom gripped them. It was the punishment of a great day.إِنَّ'innaفِىfīذَٰلِكَḏālikaلَـَٔايَةٗۖla'āyatanوَمَاwamāكَانَkānaأَكْثَرُهُم'akṯaruhumمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٩٠(190)Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.وَإِنَّwa'innaرَبَّكَrabbakaلَهُوَlahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʕazīzuٱلرَّحِيمُr-raḥīm١٩١(191)Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.وَإِنَّهُۥwa'innahūلَتَنزِيلُlatanzīluرَبِّrabbiٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʕālamīn١٩٢(192)It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.نَزَلَnazalaبِهِbihiٱلرُّوحُr-rūḥuٱلْأَمِينُl-'amīn١٩٣(193)The Honest Spirit came down with it.عَلَىٰʕalāقَلْبِكَqalbikaلِتَكُونَlitakūnaمِنَminaٱلْمُنذِرِينَl-munḏirīn١٩٤(194)Upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners.بِلِسَانٍbilisāninعَرَبِىّٖʕarabiyyinمُّبِينٖmubīn١٩٥(195)In a clear Arabic tongue.وَإِنَّهُۥwa'innahūلَفِىlafīزُبُرِzuburiٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-'awwalīn١٩٦(196)And it is in the scriptures of the ancients.أَوَلَمْ'awalamيَكُنyakunلَّهُمْlahumءَايَةً'āyatanأَن'anيَعْلَمَهُۥyaʕlamahūعُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ʕulamā~'uبَنِىٓbanī~إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ'isrā~'īl١٩٧(197)Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel recognized it?وَلَوْwalawنَزَّلْنَٰهُnazzalnāhuعَلَىٰʕalāبَعْضِbaʕḍiٱلْأَعْجَمِينَl-'aʕjamīn١٩٨(198)Had We revealed it to one of the foreigners.فَقَرَأَهُۥfaqara'ahūعَلَيْهِمʕalayhimمَّاmāكَانُوا۟kānūبِهِۦbihīمُؤْمِنِينَmu'minīn١٩٩(199)And he had recited it to them, they still would not have believed in it.كَذَٰلِكَkaḏālikaسَلَكْنَٰهُsalaknāhuفِىfīقُلُوبِqulūbiٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-mujrimīn٢٠٠(200)Thus We make it pass through the hearts of the guilty.لَاlāيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnaبِهِۦbihīحَتَّىٰḥattāيَرَوُا۟yarawuٱلْعَذَابَl-ʕaḏābaٱلْأَلِيمَl-'alīm٢٠١(201)They will not believe in it until they witness the painful punishment.فَيَأْتِيَهُمfaya'tiyahumبَغْتَةٗbaḡtatanوَهُمْwahumلَاlāيَشْعُرُونَyašʕurūn٢٠٢(202)It will come to them suddenly, while they are unaware.فَيَقُولُوا۟fayaqūlūهَلْhalنَحْنُnaḥnuمُنظَرُونَmunẓarūn٢٠٣(203)Then they will say, “Are we given any respite?”أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا'afabiʕaḏābināيَسْتَعْجِلُونَyastaʕjilūn٢٠٤(204)Do they seek to hasten Our punishment?أَفَرَءَيْتَ'afara'aytaإِن'inمَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْmattaʕnāhumسِنِينَsinīn٢٠٥(205)Have you considered: if We let them enjoy themselves for some years.ثُمَّṯummaجَآءَهُمjā~'ahumمَّاmāكَانُوا۟kānūيُوعَدُونَyūʕadūn٢٠٦(206)Then there comes to them what they were promised.مَآmā~أَغْنَىٰ'aḡnāعَنْهُمʕanhumمَّاmāكَانُوا۟kānūيُمَتَّعُونَyumattaʕūn٢٠٧(207)Of what avail to them will be their past enjoyments? وَمَآwamā~أَهْلَكْنَا'ahlaknāمِنminقَرْيَةٍqaryatinإِلَّا'illāلَهَاlahāمُنذِرُونَmunḏirūn٢٠٨(208)Never did We destroy a town, but it had warners.ذِكْرَىٰḏikrāوَمَاwamāكُنَّاkunnāظَٰلِمِينَẓālimīn٢٠٩(209)As a reminder—We are never unjust.وَمَاwamāتَنَزَّلَتْtanazzalatبِهِbihiٱلشَّيَٰطِينُš-šayāṭīn٢١٠(210)It was not the devils that revealed it.وَمَاwamāيَنۢبَغِىyanbaḡīلَهُمْlahumوَمَاwamāيَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʕūn٢١١(211)It is not in their interests, nor in their power.إِنَّهُمْ'innahumعَنِʕaniٱلسَّمْعِs-samʕiلَمَعْزُولُونَlamaʕzūlūn٢١٢(212)They are barred from hearing.فَلَاfalāتَدْعُtadʕuمَعَmaʕaٱللَّهِllāhiإِلَٰهًا'ilāhanءَاخَرَ'āḵaraفَتَكُونَfatakūnaمِنَminaٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَl-muʕaḏḏabīn٢١٣(213)So do not pray to another god with Allah, else you will be of those tormented.وَأَنذِرْwa'anḏirعَشِيرَتَكَʕašīratakaٱلْأَقْرَبِينَl-'aqrabīn٢١٤(214)And warn your close relatives.وَٱخْفِضْwaḵfiḍجَنَاحَكَjanāḥakaلِمَنِlimaniٱتَّبَعَكَttabaʕakaمِنَminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīn٢١٥(215)And lower your wing to those of the believers who follow you.فَإِنْfa'inعَصَوْكَʕaṣawkaفَقُلْfaqulإِنِّى'innīبَرِىٓءٞbarī~'unمِّمَّاmimmāتَعْمَلُونَtaʕmalūn٢١٦(216)And if they disobey you, say, “I am innocent of what you do.”وَتَوَكَّلْwatawakkalعَلَىʕalāٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʕazīziٱلرَّحِيمِr-raḥīm٢١٧(217)And put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful.ٱلَّذِىallaḏīيَرَىٰكَyarākaحِينَḥīnaتَقُومُtaqūm٢١٨(218)He Who sees you when you rise.وَتَقَلُّبَكَwataqallubakaفِىfīٱلسَّٰجِدِينَs-sājidīn٢١٩(219)And your devotions amidst the worshipers.إِنَّهُۥ'innahūهُوَhuwaٱلسَّمِيعُs-samīʕuٱلْعَلِيمُl-ʕalīm٢٢٠(220)He is indeed the Hearer, the Aware.هَلْhalأُنَبِّئُكُمْ'unabbi'ukumعَلَىٰʕalāمَنmanتَنَزَّلُtanazzaluٱلشَّيَٰطِينُš-šayāṭīn٢٢١(221)Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?تَنَزَّلُtanazzaluعَلَىٰʕalāكُلِّkulliأَفَّاكٍ'affākinأَثِيمٖ'aṯīm٢٢٢(222)They descend upon every sinful liar.يُلْقُونَyulqūnaٱلسَّمْعَs-samʕaوَأَكْثَرُهُمْwa'akṯaruhumكَٰذِبُونَkāḏibūn٢٢٣(223)They give ear, and most of them are liars.وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُwaš-šuʕarā~'uيَتَّبِعُهُمُyattabiʕuhumuٱلْغَاوُۥنَl-ḡāwūn٢٢٤(224)And as for the poets—the deviators follow them.أَلَمْ'alamتَرَtaraأَنَّهُمْ'annahumفِىfīكُلِّkulliوَادٖwādinيَهِيمُونَyahīmūn٢٢٥(225)Do you not see how they ramble in every style?وَأَنَّهُمْwa'annahumيَقُولُونَyaqūlūnaمَاmāلَاlāيَفْعَلُونَyafʕalūn٢٢٦(226)And how they say what they do not do?إِلَّا'illāٱلَّذِينَllaḏīnaءَامَنُوا۟'āmanūوَعَمِلُوا۟waʕamilūٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣ-ṣāliḥātiوَذَكَرُوا۟waḏakarūٱللَّهَllāhaكَثِيرٗاkaṯīranوَٱنتَصَرُوا۟wantaṣarūمِنۢminبَعْدِbaʕdiمَاmāظُلِمُوا۟ۗẓulimū;وَسَيَعْلَمُwasayaʕlamuٱلَّذِينَllaḏīnaظَلَمُوٓا۟ẓalamū~أَىَّ'ayyaمُنقَلَبٖmunqalabinيَنقَلِبُونَyanqalibūn٢٢٧(227)Except for those who believe, and do good deeds, and remember Allah frequently, and defend themselves after they are wronged. As for those who do wrong, they will know by what overturning they will be overturned.
